Hyperactivity and children have strong connection. Many parents complain their children being hyperactive.
Children diagnosed with such behavioural pattern are known to face a lot of difficulty in school. They do not shine at play, games, social interaction or any other sphere of life. These children can also be quite annoying to handle for teachers, classmates and mates.
As they grow, people around them start to hate them.
This is due to their strange behaviour and tendency to get over anxious or excited at various situations. It is said that main reason behind hyperactivity in children is Attention Deficit Disorder or ADD. Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder or ADHD can also be a reason behind hyperactivity in children.

Limitations
Most parents tend to impose restrictions n children without thinking about the outcome. The key to keep your child happy, healthy and develop with a positive attitude is to impose limitations and provide flexibility too.
Understand that there are some moments where children are hard to deal with when imposed limitations. Children with ADHD should be treated in a special way. They should be allowed to crawl or move around when they want to.
Sugar Intake
One of the most important things to do is to minimize sugar in their daily diet. Studies and researches show that higher level of sugar intake may activate hyperactivity in children.
Set a Routine
This will work really well. Consistency followed with structure facilitate children feel secure. This will work towards minimizing hyperactivity.
No caffeinated drinks
It is not recommended to offer beverages or foods with caffeine to children as it can activate hyperactivity.
Caffeinated drinks are known to possess stimulant properties and tendency to create a calming ambiance. This is not good for hyper active children because they find it really difficult to remain calm.
Relaxation
Make extra efforts to relax your child. This can be done via reserving a special place for them to relax. Make sure that the place is quite and none of the busy activities are conducted there.
Optimism
Follow optimism and encourage your child to think positive. Allow your child to explore his creativity. This will help in releasing emotional energy and in turn, minimize hyperactivity.
Teach
The children should be taught how to take deep breaths. This should be practised as soon as they start to get out of control. Deep breaths are helpful in calming body. Soothing massage on shoulders and temples may also help.
Activities
It would really help to take your hyperactive child out. A short walk will help the child focus.
Checkup
Regular checkups are also very important for the child’s growth. Doctors would monitor regular development of your child and suggest treatment accordingly.
