As a part of the line up for its Alpha cameras is the brand new SLT – A35 by Sony. The ALPHA SLT – A35 comes midway between the SLT- A33 and SLT-A55 cameras. The camera has some intriguing imaging features amongst which the most hyped one is continuous Autofocus.

The camera also has Translucent Mirror Technology which utilizes a brand new method of capturing images by using some light straight from the filters of the lens which passes through a mirror before it reaches the real sensor.


The ALPHA SLT – A35 camera from Sony boasts of a 16.2 megapixels CMOS along with a Exmor APS HD CMOS sensor which helps capture video at Full HD (1920 x 1080).
One of the best features of the camera is that Full HD video can be captured while enabling the Full tome continuous Autofocus.

There is a 3” TFT LCD display which has a resolution of 921k dots, offering a great platform for viewing the photos and images.


The camera runs on a BIONZ image processor and has the AF focus modes - single-shot AF, Continuous AF and Automatic AF.
The shutter speed of the ALPHA SLT – A35 is 1/4000- 30 sec. and the continuous advance shooting goes up to 5.5ps.

The display is 7.5 cm and the LCD resolution is extra fine.


The ALPHA SLT – A35 has three extra imaging features more than the previous versions of the camera produced by Sony.
The images taken through the camera are of ultra high quality and the noise is quite low.

The Tele-zoom gives a magnification of 1.4 times and the high speed shooting mode goes up to 7 fps.

The “Picture Effect” of the camera helps you in enhancing the HD videos shot with the camera along with the stills clicked as well.
