Make sure that the desk is placed either diagonally to the doorway or facing it directly. You just have to ensure that your back is not towards the entrance.
In case there are many desks, two should be placed diagonally facing the door and the others diagonally facing towards the room’s centre.
Do not place the chairs in rows like in a classroom or with their backs to each other.
In case the doorways of these facing offices across the hallway are not aligned, place mirrors on each door’s front.
In fact, if there is some partition or partial wall near the entrance of the office place a mirror on the partition as well.
If there are any jutting walls, soften them with plants and break up any dull walls by placing paintings or mirrors on them.

When your home is also your office, there are a specific set of rules that need to adhere to in order to ensure that the feng shui of the place is maintained.
If possible, a separate entrance should be used for your office. If not, then you should choose any room that is near the back door or front door of the apartment or house.

The desk should not be placed under a window. Just let it reflect the light from the side. In fact, a desk facing the east is also a good position.
There must be gap of 7-9 inches between the wall and the furniture. The work space must be kept tidy so that there is free flowing energy throughout the room.
De-clutter your office space regularly. You can neatly stack whatever needs to be stored in some cupboard so that the energy flow is not impeded.
You can also use things like a small fountain or aquarium, pictures of water scenes, red eggs which symbolize wealth creation, a bell or wheel, a red envelope which contains some coins, etc which symbolize wealth and can prove to be lucky.
