2. Focus on Thermogenesis (DIT):


This is another area where you need to focus. Thermogenesis (DIT) is the energy required to digest our foods.

3. Physical Exercise:

The Atkins diet also lays stress on indulging in physical exercises for healthy living.

Remember, if we are really active, we make use of more energy (i.e. we end up burning more calories). Hence, if we eat more than what is required, our bodies tend to store the calories in the form of fat and use it later.

Therefore, if you are planning to follow the Atkins diet, you must remember that it is not a very simple diet programme.

While it is one of the most effective ways to lose weight easily, you have to be careful about consuming everything in a balanced quantity.

How the diet works?

This particular diet programme places restriction on consuming too much of carbohydrates on a daily basis. You are required to replace it with high protein containing foods in large quantity.

You need to have more protein, since it will keep you full and satisfied even when you are following the diet programme in an effort to lose weight.

If you consume fewer carbohydrates, then you can help your body to slip into a ketosis stage. This is where the fat burns off and replaces the lost energy sources extracted from sugar and carbohydrates.

Hence, the focus is on consuming high protein food and avoiding carbohydrates should so that you are able to avoid obesity easily.
