The Detox diet is gaining popularity these days. The programme involves eating lots of vegetables and fruits that help our bodies to detox easily.

During a detox diet, you are not allowed to have those food items that are not very nutritious for you. There are different types of detox diets that are being suggested by dieticians these days.

Hence, if required, try the different detox diet programmes such as vegetable, fish and rice detox diet, brown rice diet, cooked food diet, complete raw food detox dieting, raw and cooked vegetarian detox diet and white meat diet.

Benefits of following a Detox Diet:


1. By undertaking the detox dieting programme, one can kill the poisons and toxins present in their body. Hence, you will have more energy and remain active throughout the day. This will eventually help you shed weight.

2. The Detox diet also cleans your digestive system and hence you won't suffer from constipation that further leads to lethargy.

3. Since the detox diet encourages you to have plenty of water, you can eliminate waste and toxins and feel more healthy and fit throughout the day.

4. You can prevent your liver from getting affected by several diseases. One is required to have milk while following the detox diet. This only helps in regeneration of the liver and you are able to live a healthy life.

Brown Rice Detoxing Diet:

This diet requires you to have brown rice atleast four-five days. Since you are having only one kind of food every day, it allows your digestive system to acclimatize.




Hence, the body is able to use the extra energy in a more positive way, and removes all the waste from the body. Brown rice also has the ability to absorb toxins. If required, you can have some herbs like garlic, ginger and coriander mixed well with the rice.

Raw food based Detox Diet:


Cooking a vegetable robs it of enzymes. It also kills the nutrients available in vegetables, and hence it is always good to have raw vegetables.

If you have more minerals, enzymes and vitamins then your body can easily detoxify. In addition, the raw food diet also has lower levels of toxins.

Vegetarian raw and cooked Detox Diet:


This diet also allows you to have a little yogurt in addition to vegetables. Hence, one is supposed to have lots of raw or cooked vegetables and lots of fruits alongside beans, lentils and rice.

Cooked Food and vegetarian Detox Diet:


In this particular detox diet, you can cook rice along with lentils and some spices and then consume it. This only helps in better digestion and detoxifies your body.

Vegetables, Fish and Rice Detox Diet:

This diet has been suggested by many doctors who have studied naturopathy. Since fish can be easily digested in comparison to meat and also supplies amino acid (a type of protein) to the body, which is really good for our health. Our liver can make use of amino acids and detoxifies easily.
