Foot Massage: Tips to Enjoy a Foot Massage

A foot massage is a fabulous way to obtain relaxation. A wonderful foot massage can help you get amazing relief from various health conditions and relaxation too. This is also a fantastic way to treat a friend or loved one.

If you have been thinking of pampering your partner or loved one, then there is nothing better than a wonderful foot massage. Here are some tips on how to make your loved one or yourself feel as if in heaven.


Tip one:

First soak your feet in to warm water for about ten minutes. It would be great to include certain drops of your favorite oil or bath salts. The best one includes lavender or peppermint oil. Make doubly sure that you feet are thoroughly dried prior to starting off with the massage session.

Tip Two:


Now apply a reasonable amount of cream or oil to hands. This will add to the comfort and ease. Make double sure that your hands are warm.

This will avoid discomfort during massage. Understand that mineral oil cannot be absorbed in to skin completely. Hence it is important to use wipes to clean these.

Tip Three:


This is time to apply hand cream. You need to start off via stroking top of foot. This has to be done between cords that are located on top of foot.

Make sure you move your hand in a direction that goes from toe to ankle. Now continue via stroking foot sole. Start the procedure gently and then gradually increase pressure.

Tip Four:

You need to make circular motions using your thumb and fingers over the foot sole. Now use more amount of pressure in areas including the important regions of your foot such as the heel or ball of the foot.

Now start from the top and then work your way down. You should not ignore the sides.

Tip Five:

Now hold the foot using one hand and use the other hand for foot rotation. Use pressure near the foot ball. Repeat the process for about five times in every direction.

Tip Six:

It is time to knead the sole via holding the foot using one hand. Make a fist using the other. Make sure you use moderate pressure on the sole. Make sure you focus on the arch.

Tip Seven:


Start with the big toe and work towards the pinky toe. You need to take each toe independently. Make sure that you roll the toe keeping it between the forefinger and thumb.

The pressure should be gentle. Squeeze the end of each toe gently.

Tip Eight:

Slide your index finger between each toe for about 5 times. You need to complete the massage via using your thumb and fingers.

This will help you make the circular motions over the sole. You must end via stroking both the sole and instep.

Tip Nine:


You need to wipe off any excess oil or cream using a soft towel. Put on socks to retain moisture.
