Your hair is hungry, it needs food: Listen to your hair, when it cries ‘I am hungry’. Feed your hair with the best of nutrition that is also rich in protein and iron. Include a lot of fresh fruits and vegetables in your diet. Also focus on having whole grains, nuts, sprouts, soy, green leafy vegetables etc. on a regular basis.
Wash your hair:
Keep your hair clean and free of dirt as far as possible. Make sure that the shampoo you use is good for your hair. It should be made from natural extracts such as aloe, almonds, herbs and jojoba. You must wash hair thoroughly. Use enough water to make sure that no traces of shampoo or conditioner is left on the hair or scalp.
Drying hair:
Let your hair dry naturally. Using a hair dryer frequently can damage it. When to well drying your hair, strictly avoid rubbing it hard. This may damage the texture. Just wipe the hair gently with a towel. Keep use of dryer to a minimum.
Hair brushing:
Brushing your hair when wet is a strict no-no. hair is at its weakest state when wet. Use a wide toothed comb to detangle it when wet. Use a brush only when it is completely dry.
SPF Spray:
Using SPF spray is a must when you go out in the sun. this will protect it from sun damage.
Hair conditioning:
Conditioning of hair is a must after shampooing. You may also stick to natural conditioners such as honey and egg to keep your hair soft and shining. Coconut milk is also a good hair conditioner.
