It seems like the fashion industry starts to change.
Several years ago, the top designers intended to start a war against giant retailers like Zara, Mango and H&M because of the similarity of the items and their desire of keeping top fashion exclusive.
In the end, it seems that affordable fashion won, as the H&M brand reached the Paris Fashion Week.
Ashley Olsen, Chloe Moretz and Emma Roberts were ranked among the guests of the special event that took place at Paris Fashion Week for Fall/Winter.
There, the giant brand, H&M presented for the very first time a fashion collection at a Fashion Week event.
The collection for this fall/winter was presented in the garden from Musée Rodin and it was transmitted live on the hm.com site. The fashion show mixed the classic shapes with the delicate dresses in order to create a masculine note.
In addition to that, the show offered to its public the chance to admire the new H&M collection in approximately 200 shops worldwide.
"I was extremely happy to admire our own fall/winter collection on the Paris Fashion Week catwalk. It gave more spirit to the entire collection. The key items like the wool jacket, the tails and the sequined dresses will give an authentic attitude in this fall", declared Ann-Sofie Johansson, the Chief of the Design Department from H&M.
"The presentation from Paris Fashion Week is a captivating stage for the fall/winter collection at H&M! The event was magical, it took place in a very elegant place and it was presented in a special atmosphere. Over all, it was wonderful to admire affordable fashion presented in one of the most important fashion capitals of the world" said Margareta van den Bosch, Creative Director at H&M.
The H&M collection for Fall/Winter was created by the entire design team of the Swedish brand and it is a joyous mix of styles that combine the dramatic silhouettes with the decorative items.
Besides the short tails and the masculine jacket, lots of multifunctional items were presented such as the boho jacket, the leather jacket with two ranges of buttons or the evening jacket with a wide cut.
The fineness and a sense of delicate grandeur were the two big characteristics of this collection, present especially at the sequined backless dress or the top decorated with fringes on the shoulders.
Also, the knits are essential, especially the one with complex distortions.
The first event presented by H&M on the catwalk from Paris Fashion Week was made by George Cortina and allowed the H&M brand to present the main collection into a brand new light through supermodels like Cara Delevigne, Isabeli Fontana and Arizona Muse.
The collection's atmosphere was reflected into the special garden, decorated like a dream apartment, full with the elegance of the 70s in Paris.
After the fashion show, the guests remained at a party given by the French artist Owlle and 2 Many DJ's.
Overall, the fashion show presented by the giant H&M was well received, both by the critics, the supermodels that ruled on the catwalk and the special guests.
