Toughbook 19 Refreshed To Work In Sunlight
Panasonic, one of the most well known organizations in the world of technology, has declared its upgraded version of convertible tablet Touchbook 19, which will be available all over the world from September 2011.
The 10.1 inch fully rugged tablet is getting refreshed with many internal modifications and a slight change in its appearance.
Touchbook 19 is a lightweight notebook which offers enhanced functions and its latest TransflectivePlus display allows a user to compute in direct sunlight also.
The system has been redesigned following the footsteps of its previous version with many modifications and it will be easier for existing users to get used to the new system with less effort.
Moreover, there is a provision for display rotation, which helps mobile workers to switch to tablet mode from laptop using just one hand.
The system is provided with some outstanding features. It is the first time that this device is going to be powered by a low voltage processor from Intel Core i5-2520m family having Intel HD 3000 graphics.
It comes with increased 4-8GB DDR3 RAM and a 320GB hard disk with additional and alternative 128 or 256GB drive. The operating system that is perfect for its platform is Windows 7.
Its HDD speed limit is 7200rpm which is quite high. Its features are improved to ensure that it takes 20% less start up time than its predecessor.
The technology used to design the device includes anti-glare and anti-reflective display treatments with spherical polarized filters which helps users work outdoors as well.
The internally fitted reflecting surface illuminates the display with sufficient brightness. The adjustable LED backlight helps users to work in low light environments and at nighttime delivering 1 nit.

There is a dashboard for personal customization of each user’s settings according to their preferences with a quick launch option to access volume, brightness and backlight easily.
Its embedded wireless connections include an optional GPS receiver and Gobi2000 3G cellular broadband system from Qualcomm.
Wi-Fi and Bluetooth 2.1 are additional features. Within a few months, Toughbook 19 will be ready to support 4G networks as well. The Sprint and Verizon Wireless 3G technology allows its users to remain virtually connected all the time.
Moreover, its fanless architecture along with other rugged features makes this friendly device ideal for field and site workers and for those working in challenging environments.
