The New Sony Wonder

Sony Ericsson has recently launched its principal Android mobile in Sony Walkman series mobile phones. They released their Android based Sony Ericsson W8.

According to the price of SE W8, it has a very tough competition with the two most positive android smartphones in India. The HTC Wildfire and LG Optimus P500 are known to be the best introductions till now. Here, we have compared Sony Ericsson W8 with HTC Wildfire.

Design and Size:

These phones have been integrated with large touch screens as well classy design. The wildfire is known to be more stylishly as structured nicely with curved edges. W8 is also quiet a thick bar consisting of 15mm of thickness. It weighs 104grams.

On the other hand, Wildfire is very slim. It is just 12mm thick. However, it weighs 118grams. The stylish as well as attractive looks and ultra slim design of Wildfire S will provide it the upper hand on this front.

Display

Smart phones will feature both TFT capacitive touch screen combined with 16M color support. The Wildfire S comes with superb gorilla glass display. The W8 comes with a superior scratch resistant surface. Wildfire has been equipped with a large 3.2 inch screen.

The W8 is happy with its 3.0 inch screen. The gorilla glass display comes with a slightly larger screen as compared to the size of Wildfire. This feature provides it an edge over the other device.

Processor and OS

Sony Ericsson W8 has been integrated with a 600 MHz ARM 11processor. It is powered by Adreno 200GPU. The HTC Wildfire is integrated with the powerful 528 MHz ARM 11processor. Both phones consist of the Android 2.1(Éclair) Operating System. When it comes to Wildfire, it can be easily upgraded to Android 2.2(Froyo).

Camera

W8 has been integrated with a 3.15MP camera. Its resolution is 2048x1536 pixels. The camera is capable of recording VGA video at 30fps and backs geo tagging. Wildfire again has also been equipped with 5Mega Pixelcamera. The auto focus and LED flash. The maximum resolution of video it can record is 352×288 pixels, it also supports geo tagging feature.

Storage Capacity

HTC Wildfire has 314MB of RAM and 512 MB of ROM. W8 has 128MB of internal storage and 168MB of RAM. W8 supports memory extension up to 16GB and Wildfire up to 32GB via SD memory card.

Conclusion

Both the above stated phones are almost in the similar price range of 10,000 INR. However, HTC Wildfire is known to the best and the most beneficial one with its stupendous features. If you are an Android fan, Wildfire should be your priority.
